Visit a service

Welcome

You are very welcome to attend a church service at Bethel Church. Our congregation gathers every Sunday at 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Church members stand at the entrance to welcome you. They are also available to answer any questions you may have before or after the service. Whether you are already familiar with the Christian faith, are looking for a church community, or simply want to come and take a look: you are welcome to experience a service.

How does a church service proceed?

Perhaps you have not been to a church service before and are wondering exactly what happens. We will briefly explain how a service proceeds with us. Our church services last about an hour and a half. Seating in the church is unreserved; you can choose your own seat. At the beginning of the service, the organ plays while the congregation enters.

The service is led by the minister. We sing psalms together, listen to readings from the Bible, and pray. An important part of the service is the sermon, in which a passage from the Bible is explained and applied to daily life. The church service concludes with a prayer, a final psalm, and the blessing, with which the congregation returns home.

Children

Children are also very welcome in the church. There is a crèche for children aged 0 to 3 during the morning service. The crèche is located in the large hall to the right of the entrance.

There is Sunday school for children aged 4 to 6. After the main prayer during the church service, the children can be taken to Sunday school.

Giving

A voluntary digital collection is held during the church service. The proceeds are intended for the work of the church, such as church services, activities, and the church building, and for diaconal assistance to people in need. Collections are made digitally via Donkey Mobile.

Present attractively

Our congregation is an ANBI (Public Benefit Institution) recognized by the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. Your donations to the Reformed Congregation Rotterdam-Zuidwijk may therefore qualify for a tax deduction on income or corporate tax.

Parking and accessibility

The address of the church is Langenhorst 104,
3085 HR Rotterdam.

The Bethel Church does not have its own car park. On Sundays, we can usually use a section of the Monuta car park. Whether this is possible varies from Sunday to Sunday. A parking attendant will indicate this. There are two parking spaces for disabled persons at the main entrance of the church. Additionally, it is possible to park in the surrounding neighborhood. Please note that paid parking applies here.

Are you coming by bike? There is a bicycle parking area at the back of the church.

The church is also easily accessible by public transport. There is a tram stop for line 5 located close to the church.
