You are warmly invited to attend a service at Bethel Church. Our congregation meets every Sunday at 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Members of our church will welcome you at the entrance and are happy to answer any questions you may have before or after the service. Whether you are already familiar with the Christian faith, looking for a church community, or simply curious to see what a service is like, you are most welcome to join us.
Perhaps you have never attended a church service before and are wondering what to expect. We would be happy to give you a brief overview of how our services are conducted. A typical service lasts about an hour and a half. Seating is unreserved, so you are free to choose any available seat. As the congregation enters, the organ is played.
The service is led by the minister. Together we sing psalms, listen to readings from the Bible, and pray. A central part of the service is the sermon, in which a passage from the Bible is explained and applied to everyday life. The service concludes with prayer, the singing of a final psalm, and the minister's blessing, after which the congregation returns home.
Our services are held in Dutch, but simultaneous English translation is available upon request. Please contact us before your visit so we can make the necessary arrangements. We hold two services every Sunday, at 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM.
Children are also very welcome at Bethel Church. During the morning service, childcare is available for children aged 0 to 3. The nursery is located in the large hall to the right of the main entrance.
For children aged 4 to 6, Sunday school is available during the morning service. After the main prayer, children are invited to go to their Sunday school class, where they hear a Bible story and sing together at their own level.
A voluntary digital collection is held during the church service. The proceeds are intended for the work of the church, such as church services, activities, and the church building, and for diaconal assistance to people in need. Collections are made digitally via Donkey Mobile.
Our congregation is an ANBI (Public Benefit Institution) recognized by the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. Your donations to the Reformed Congregation Rotterdam-Zuidwijk may therefore qualify for a tax deduction on income or corporate tax.
Bethel Church does not have its own parking lot. On Sundays, we can often use part of the Monuta parking lot, although availability varies from week to week. A parking attendant will let you know if parking there is possible.
There are two accessible parking spaces located at the main entrance of the church. You can also park in the surrounding streets. Please note that paid parking applies in this area.
Coming by bike? A bicycle parking area is available at the rear of the church.
The church is also easily accessible by public transport. Tram line 5 stops within walking distance of the church.
